Russia will continue to develop Ka-52K shipborne helicopter

Russia says it will continue to develop the Ka-52K shipborne helicopter irregardless whether two Mistral-class ships will eventually be delivered to Russia.

“First of all, our own amphibious assault ships are under construction. A helicopter like Ka-25K will be in demand at ships of our surface fleet. So, it is incorrect to make links between completion of development work of this helicopter and delivery of Mistrals,” Deputy Defense Minister Yury Borisov said.
