A stabilized approach to landing is crucial for anyone, even a fighter pilot. This Su-35 pilot bounced the landing on a close approach, then nearly lost control of the aircraft as it settled back down on the runway. The left wingtip rail struck the ground, and fortunately, the pilot was able to get the jet back on all three landing gear.
So the next time this happens to you in your Flanker, or Cessna 172 for that matter, don't force a bad landing, just go around and spare yourself the possibility of becoming the center of a viral video.
